Motorcycles have come a long way since 1985, when Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach built the first one in Germany.

Called the reitwagen, or riding car, its engine had 0.5 horsepower and a top speed of 11 kilometer per hour.

Dramatically changed over the years, motorcycling today is a necessity and fun. As much as they are depedent on it for a means to daily transportation, they are equally passionat about riding.


The four largest motorcycle market in the world are in Asia: China, India, Indonesia, and Vietname.

India, with an estimated 37 million motorcycles/mopeds, was home to the largest number of motorised two wheelers in the world.

China came a close second with 34 millon motorcyclyes/mopeds in 2002.
